Learn Print and Web Design using World-Standard Adobe® Graphics and Word Press
Taking this class, you can learn the basics and some advanced techniques in digital design using the top Graphics Programs in the Design industry: Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, and Illustrator and Adobe®XD. Learn basic design principles of composing graphics on a page and balancing forms to make a pleasing image. Learn how to import and compose layouts with images developed in Illustrator and Photoshop into Adobe InDesign, and then Export them into AdobeAcrobat PDF, JPEG, GIF and PNG formats for use in Print. In Web Design, we will explore the use of Adobe®InDesign’s newly-enhanced “Export to Web” capability, and, for students taking 8 or more classes we will produce webpages and Apps as well as Wireframes in Xd in all phone, tablet and PC formats.
We will work on your chosen projects from Business cards to newsletters. This class will prepare the dedicated student to take thier design skills using these programs on into Web Design using WordPress.
Please be 18 and above, but talented or AP High School age students may attend with Parental consent . Classes will meet one afternoon per week with project assignments, and online email support throughout the week.
Special consideration for students taking 8 classes
All students taking 8 or more classes will be assembling Ux products and apps filled with the rich and robust artwork from their projects in Photoshop and Illustrator and will be eligible for Adobe® Educational Discount. All Adobe Creative Cloud Applications just $19.99/mo for the first year.

Required: Laptop Mac or PC computer. Students who do not have access to a laptop may make special arrangements on a limited one-to-one basis working on computers available at the Brookltn Public Library at Grand Army Plaza.
Recommended add-ons (optional) : Wacom tablet or other (Huion, X-Pen etc) pen-driven mouse, Apple iPad or equivalent. Educational materials fee is $50.

Please note: I am available for private 1-on-1 critiques for $48.99 per session (plus travel expenses) Mon-Thurs from 1 to 3 pm in participants studio. There is no price break for Private Studio Visits.
Terms:
All sessions by reservation. All Payments accepted through PayPal or Venmo. In the case of cancellations, students are expected to telephone the school 24 hours in advance. We are very flexible, but in the case of 3 or more cancellations, or cancellations without comment or Advance Notice ( No Show ) are considered to be counterproductive and treated as such.

If no laptop is available, or if students desire a more formal setting, reservations can be made for spaces at the Brooklyn Public Library conference rooms with two-week waiting period. Description: A perfect adjunct to Impressionist Drawing in color, here we put the lessons the Impressionists taught us to the test. This class requires a half-hour set-up time additionally, so you can get all the time you need to paint and draw a portrait of the jewel of Brooklyn: Prospect Park. This class is only available as a one-shot session, so you are given as much time necessary to paint and draw.

Successful Completion of 12 Session/24hrs results in Official ACB Commendation
Description: Concentration in this course is on what a work-flow in Graphic Art is, and how it is put it into practice. Printed textbooks covering a plethora of activities working with sample files provided by AGI/ Wiley, PeachPit, Lynda and Adobe Publications are provided. Class time includes presentations with corresponding provided files, and time working on projects in class. Home work is essential in this class, and flexible scheduling is available in order to give the student a reasonable amount of time needed to work on these lessons at home.
A laptop computer is recommended, but special arrangements can be made to work on the Computers at the Brooklyn Public Library Information Commons. Students are requested to create their own projects.
